Welford-on-Avon

We went back to the village of Welford this afternoon.   There is a riverside walk we fancied looking at, approached past the church.  We took the permissive footpath with the river, and lowering sun, on our left. A nice walk though a bit muddy in places.  I was advised by a resident that she had seen a kingfisher along there yesterday,  but we didn't see it today.

There is a weir close by the start of the walk, unfortunately one needs to be on the opposite bank to see it fall.
