Still snowbound

Well below freezing overnight but a lovely sunny day so I had a midday walk up towards the mountain for more scenic views. It was hard to choose a photo as I took so many, everything looks so lovely in the snow, all the more because it's so rare here. A lot of the snow has fallen off the trees now but it's still very thick on the ground. 
A tiny bit of road clearing is going on but only on major arteries.  It'll take them a long time to get round to our neighbourhood of little hilly side streets - if they do at all. Probably not, I expect we'll have to wait for it to thaw. The snow in the streets has been compacted by people walking on it and the odd car with chains driving, and froze completely solid overnight so it's extremely treacherous to walk on.
