Canada Goose - 13

I was at RSPB Burton today but didn't have much time for a wander  beforehand although I did manage this shot of a Canada goose. 

In the late afternoon, towards the end of my shift, a large number of pink footed geese flew over. I missed the beginning of the flypast and I thought there were around 2000 but independently, two people who have been trained in doing the count of large flocks, said there were between 10,000 and 12,000.

Last week I had a large win on the football club lottery so I decided to treat myself and get a telescope. We are away in Norfolk next week so it will be a perfect opportunity to try it out.
