Holocaust memorial day

Last time I was in Waterstones I was recommended this.Written in 4 weeks in 1939 it speaks of the horrors of Germany in 1938 as Jews were arrested. The main character is internally displaced & travels around Germany by train trying to find an escape. I finished it today - appropriately
