Retrograde

The Sisters would have been horrified. Discuss.

I had to resist the temptation to put a vintage effect on this one. It's hard to believe that this is a shop window display in 2013. I guess it's post-modern or retro or something but my 18 year old self heading off to Uni in the 80s would have been appalled.

A lazy afternoon spent watching the Paris-Roubaix followed by an even lazier snooze. My attempts at exercise remained at the lazy end of the scale - a stretching session followed by a very gentle walk around Winchester with my point and shoot. I'd hope to try in out on a few action shots but it appears it wasn't only me having a lazy day. The play areas, deserted. The skate park, deserted. The tennis courts and the playing fields? You guessed it, deserted. I had a blip all planned complete with accompanying tumbleweed.

And then I turned onto the high street on my way home, saw this and was stopped in my tracks. I'd half written an answer to the essay title in my head by the time I got home. So I guess the window dressers got my attention alright.

I have wild duck being cooked for me as we speak though so all is well in my version of 2013.
