Rob Roy Glacier

Today Jill and another Blipper, Ginny, walked up to the Rob Roy Glacier on another stunning 24C day. I was a little nervous about my knee - but it performed well- just my general fitness needs improving. So 13km and over 21,000 steps later, we are home again!

The main photo is a halo around the sun- right up at the glacier.

First extra are some cattle we met on the road driving up to the starting point- an hours drive away. Such a typical NZ rural scene- well it used to be.

Second extra is the wonderful glacier itself- but it does seem to be receding  very quickly.

Thank you for your comments on the view of Ruby Island from the “Olive Grove”.
