Resting sheep

This field viewed from my side kitchen window has only been used for just a few sheep over the last few months. It has been heavily populated again in recent days with the pregnant ewes. It appears our forecast late winter snow will probably arrive with the lambs! This has happened the last couple of years and we always feel so sorry for the poor little things,  yet they are great survivors. When I looked out of the window this morning it was so unusual to see so many of them just sitting and laying down that I popped out to blip them. The grass is really short and there doesn't seem enough of it to feed all these hungry mums to be! Maybe they thought it was too much wasted effort to be wandering about munching.
My twin needle arrived today so I'll have a go at that hem tomorrow and hope I like the result.
I had a sociable afternoon at matting group, my sheep mat being made for me is close to completion, probably just a couple of sessions left to see it finished. Link  (if I've done it correctly) might take you to Octobers blip of it at that point). We are all really pleased with how it has turned out. We will display it at the village hall for a few weeks before bringing it home. Matting today
