A Mundane Abstract Thursday

Today's theme, set by our regular host Ingeborg, is 'Mundane', an ordinary object found around the house, photographed to look mysterious and interesting.  I haven't really followed the brief because my mundane object isn't much of a mystery and it is a bit shameful that we use this object enough to consider it mundane!

In other news:  today is Holocaust Memorial Day  As each year passes there are of course, less survivors to remind us of that dark and terrible time.  Robert Rinder spoke movingly and eloquently about the Holocaust on BBC1's The One Show and how his grandfather's family perished at Treblinka.  This evening we lit a candle and placed it in our porch to commemorate the victims of this and other genocides.
