Wordsworth
Last day of my holiday and am at last back home.
Grand vistas were a little short today (most of day was spent travelling) but before I left the Lakes I visited Grasmere to buy some Gingerbread.
Whilst there I came across the Wordsworth Daffodil garden where this picture was taken. I am told this area was waste land until the local powers at be set about raising money to transform the land to what it is now. They did this by selling these stepping stones to supporters. Although I didn't measure the path I would guess its about 4 foot wide and perhaps 200 yards in total. Thats a lot of support!
