Poached egg plant (Limnanthes douglasii)
Last year, my allotment neighbour from plot 12 gave me a few poached egg plants that had self seeded outside of his vegetable beds, with a warning that they self seed like mad.
I planted it by the pond, where it flowered profusely all season and has now started growing in crevices between rocks and logs.
I absolutely love it and don't mind it spreading in that part of the plot, which is à bit wilder anyway.
It's always one of the first things to flower in the spring and it looks like it's not far off already!
