La Reconquista day 2

I went back to town this afternoon. Just in time to witness how the French soldiers were kicked out of Vigo by angry Spanish peasants. Hundreds of people are playing this game every year with the same enthousiasm.
Local craftsmen are showing their skills on the street and one of them, an old shoemaker, made these 1809 style shoes in king size. The children loved it as you can see on the picture.
