Gluten-free Cornish pasty!!

- Cornwall Backblip 8 -

We went to Trelissick in the morning which is a National Trust place. Wandered round the little shops and had a drink in the cafe. Then mum, dad, Nathanael and me went on the King Harry Ferry. It's free for foot passengers so we thought we'd have a go! It was quite fun, and very windy!
Then we went to Falmouth and drove round and round trying to find somewhere to park but couldn't find anywhere. Eventually we found a place and we went into a cafe/restaurant place to try and get something to eat but it wasn't very nice and there weren't many gluten free options. We knew of a pasty shop that actually sold gluten free pasties so we went off again and eventually found a place sort of near the shop. It was so nice to be able to have a pasty! I haven't actually had a pasty from Cornwall for years, I've had frozen ones, but that's not the same. Anyway it was really yummy.
Then we went along the beach near Falmouth but it was really cold so we left quite soon and went to a funny little cafe. It was really quiet and deserted with only 3 other customers and there was only one man working there. He gave us the menu but said he wouldn't be able to give us any hot food - which basically ruled out half of the stuff on the menu! Fortunately we just wanted drinks. Anyway, it was quite a weird place!
