Female stonechat

Today JanetH came over and we had a great morning at Burton Mere where we saw lots of different birds. I was every excited to see both a male and a female stonechat on these bullrushes. It was the first time that I've seen birds on the bullrushes.
Later we went to try and see some owls but despite waiting patiently in two venues there were none to be seen! We did see some little egrets and two kestrels though!
