We were predicted to get thunderstorms during the morning, and up to 35mm of rain. 
When nothing eventuated, I ventured over to the other side of town to catch up with some friends. After a few hours I headed off to the train station, noticing lightning on all sides of me during the walk. 
By the time I got to the city to change to my train line, the storms had come a lot closer. I had 20 minutes until my train so decided to set up my camera and tripod and grab a photo. 
You can see the burst of rain behind the buildings, with the lightning flashing behind the clouds. About 30 seconds after this, the rain started so I packed up and headed down to the train platform.
