Dining Alone?

It is rare to dine alfresco and alone round here but just at the moment the gulls are in mating/breeding season and even sharper than ever when it comes to spotting and taking scraps. Well, I say sharper but what I really mean is that they will attempt to guzzle pretty much anything and everything. This one (figure on right) worked long and hard at the cardboard sleeve to a takeaway coffee cup before giving up.
