Out of season

A friend told me it wasn’t worth keeping poinsettias because they never turn red again. After Christmas 2020 I kept mine even after the red leaves had dropped because it was a lovely healthy green house plant. How could I throw it away? Then, a few days ago, it started turning red again! A lovely surprise, and I am hoping there will be more red as the days go on.
