cactus flower
No rain today although we have a calima (dust cloud from the Sahara). We ventured out for a walk this afternoon, not too far away and we wanted to keep below the cloud cover. It’s the walk we did last on 4th December and goes from Targa down to Benchihigua. It’s quite a climb on the way back. We saw some almond trees but couldn’t smell the blossom as you are supposed to. This cactus is about to burst forth with a flower helped by all the recent rain. There were some very large puddles but we managed to get pass without having to wade through them.
Tomorrow nights’ Country file episode has all been filmed in our local Devon area and features the local landowners, Clinton Devon Estates and the local river restoration project.
