Day 2

She was off school yesterday. She threw up in the night a couple of times. There's a bug going round the house, a bunch of them have a vomiting bug. She's got off lightly and consequently so have I. Several of them have been sent home. Thankfully, due to our circumstances, her house parent said she'd try very hard to keep Katie at school. They succeeded. But Katie was very cross at being in isolation for the day "and treated like I'm diseased". She wasn't even allowed a shower, just to the loo, she wasn't allowed to practice, she didn't get her breakfast til 1030 am... The ranting was substantial. She got herself in quite a tizz. But thankfully, the house parent seemed to pick up on how much Katie was climbing the wall, /struggling because I got an email later saying that she'd taken Katie up to the junior school to play on their playground. It had done Katie a large amount of good apparently.

Today she was allowed out of the room a bit more, I think. Certainly she said she'd been allowed to practice today and was now feeling fine. So think we dodged a bullet there!
