Daedalus

This is a recent sculpture of the mythical figure Daedalus. It has been erected on Daedalus Common in Hampshire. The Common is part of what was HMS Daedalus - a Naval Air Station - at Lee on the Solent. A great way to commemorate the military site which was in operation from 1917 to 1996.
