St Nicholas Garden

St Nicholas Garden behind Provand's Lordship was recreated in 1995 in the style of gardens in the 15th century which were originally for culinary or medicinal use.  Surrounding the garden, the cloistered walkway has a collection of carved faces known as the Tontine Heads or Faces so called as they originally formed part of the keystone arches of the porticos of the Tontine Building at Glasgow Cross.  The Extra shows a one of the Tontine Heads
