Morning glory and evening glory
We had a lazy morning then drove to Remuera to deliver leaflets. Once again, it was a very slow walk for me. We did a couple of hours then stopped for lunch which included iced coffees - very refreshing on a hot day. We did another hour or so after lunch, then stopped for another short break, before the last stint of the day. Hubby wanted a beer, I wanted an ice cream. We managed to find both in the one place, an establishment called the Beach Club, which overlooks Hobson Bay and had nice outdoor seating where you could sit and take in the view. Perfect! However, we were told that because hubby wanted a beer we had to sit inside as the council, for some reason known only to it, had forbidden alcohol to be consumed outside. How stupid! The establishment is trying to have that decision overturned. We hope they’re successful.
I was sitting clearing emails when I suddenly looked up and saw the most beautiful sunset. I’d already taken a photo of the Morning Glory flower this morning, so they fitted together nicely. Thanks to hubby for the title.
There are 103 new community cases today and, sadly, one further death. No figures have been given for the number of Omicron cases.
