Sunday
Anxiously awaiting ‘Storm Corrie’ and the inevitable tree damage, we lost 3 or 4 big beech yesterday but thankfully all out of the way and not on the fences.
This morning I baked a sourdough loaf that had been in the fridge over night, made with Mungoswell flour, milled and grown on a farm in East Lothian, the ‘bread basket’ county.
My blip today is of an old fank near the house that has grown the most amazing carpet of moss on top of the original turf coat of the wall. My extra is of a fallen beech tree with a lifted root plate that has created an excellent den.
