The Hepworth Wakefield

As Barbara Hepworth wrote "There is no fixed point for a sculpture, no fixed point from which you can see it."  I took her at her word, with a few photographs of her works through holes in others of her sculptures.

After last night's magnificent Rigoletto at the Grand Theatre in Leeds, we felt even more art was needed today.  We went to the Hepworth Wakefield, a terrific gallery opened 11 years ago, primarily to house and exhibit works by the Wakefield born artist. The current exhibition shows works from her entire life, extremely well displayed and exhibited.

The adjacent riverside is spectacular too, especially when the wind drops.
