Life on the edge...

Marianne and Roy's Wedding

Tonight, Kirst, Lyndsay, Graeme, Sharon, Ben, Dave and I had a few cocktails and nibbles in the Tippling House before heading out to Oldmeldrum House Hotel for the evening reception of Marianne and Roy's wedding.

On the grand scheme of things the Bride as Groom seemed very pissed happy and had had a perfect day so happy days to them. On the other hand, the venue, having been in the past and being more than satisfied was understaffed, zero tables and chairs for any of the evening guests who had no introduction whatsoever, the lemonade for our Gin was flatter than a pancake and the enthusiasm of the staff was on parr with that of a golf ball... Rant over.

"Select your work carefully and if you don't love what you're doing enough to want to be the best at it, get out! Flee from the boring or unsatisfying job as you would from a burning building. Working at something you don't care about is the very best way to waste your life. Remember, this life is not a rehearsal for something else."
