Amaryllis at home

Granted, my timing wasn't great for growing this orange amaryllis from a bulb. (if I'd wanted it for Christmas, that is)

But I think everything else I did well: it's one of the tallest amaryllis bulbs I've seen, the stems (2!) are thick and healthy and the flower head is looking so promising. 

It's coming on nicely now - so exciting!
