End of an era

Times are a changing....Auckland is in the midst of a city wide planning review, with the general outcome being more dense housing in the city central area. Back in the 1940's when this home was built there was so much land in Pt Chev (7kms from city centre) that you built a two bedroom home on a 850 square metre section......

As a result over the last 80 years Auckland has sprawled into a monster. I agree that we need to build the density of the city centre, it is the only way to make our public transport network cost effective.....

Interesting times.
