A Common Sight
This tree was burned in the Glass fire but is valiantly carrying on. It looks a bit gaunt and black but also a bit stately and dignified….bent but not broken.
We took Spike on ‘his’ walk today and it was a tonic for all of us! Spike always loves it, and the steep hill at the beginning didn’t seem nearly as steep today. The weather continues to be beautiful and rainless….a bit of a contradiction in terms as more rain would be a beautiful thing right now.
We got a pile of papers from the county saying that we have to schedule an inspection of our new tankless water heater and charging $127 for the privilege. It also implies that all the rest of the plumbing must be up to code, listing maximum allowed water flow for every faucet shower and toilet. I will not rant, I will not rant, I will not rant….
Two California football teams, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles rams are in the final playoff for the Super Bowl today. Much hype and constant coverage on television will finally culminate in the game today but then will begin again in the lead up to the Super Bowl. I am not a fan and would go so far as to say that I don’t even like football but I will take my knitting to Jim and Dana’s today so I don’t really have to watch.
There will be yelling, and Buffalo chicken wings….
