Canada Geese

I went back to visit the river flock again today, and I was greeted by the sight of dozens of Canada geese (Branta canadensis) landing by the water. There are still no swans, but they can’t be far behind. I am trying to walk as much as possible early this week, because a big storm is coming in a few days. We are expecting at least a foot of snow by Thursday.
