Eyes Wide Open!

What a surprise we had tonight--Clyde's eyes opened right there in front of us--blink! Apparently it will be a few days before he can actually see anything, which is just as well, since the cat was quite close. My son has big hands, and as you can see, Clyde is still pretty tiny. But he makes little snuffly sounds and is a very eager eater. As soon as he's devoured his puppy formula he falls dead asleep into a food coma.

Someone asked how often they need to be fed, and it's every two hours. TreeGuy isn't getting a good night's sleep. Sweet little Bonnie was very sick last week; in her zest for eating she aspirated some of the formula and had to be watched very carefully since she had trouble breathing. As you can see if you click on her name above, she has recovered nicely and looks like a miniature squirrel!
