A Brief Moment of Sunshine.

This afternoon we walked around a small remote valley, Cwm Pennant, in the Berwyns. The sun briefly came out causing a thermal in the valley. At first I counted 12 buzzards, then 17, then at a distance 40+, never mind several kites and quite a few ravens. We also stood and listened to greater spotted woodpecker drumming. It's a very long time since I've watched so many raptors in one place. Far too much excitement for one afternoon.
