Hawfinch

Finally….managed to get a shot of the hawfinch that has started to visit us. Not sure if he only comes on a Monday or if it’s just pure luck that I see him then! The fact that the wind was blowing hard and it was snowing meant that he stayed around a bit longer than usual. Quite an impressive beak.

Left work at lunchtime and came home using a combination of walking and the train. I couldn’t decide which was the best way home considering the wind as there are lots of trees on all the possible routes but it was actually quite sheltered despite the cable car having to close.
