Spitfire

Dog walking this morning for next door neighbour followed by a trip to Curry’s in Stoke on Trent to look at a Birthday present for me – an external CD/DVD player as my new laptop doesn’t have a built in one (I don’t think any of the new laptops do).  In any event I found one; there was only a choice of 2!
Can’t believe that having lived near Stoke on Trent for over 40 years we’ve never visited any of the museums.  We put that right this afternoon with a visit to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery which was absolutely fantastic.  Mr HB’s joy was to see the Spitfire exhibition and thereafter we both enjoyed the other fabulous exhibits on three floors.  We ran out of time to see them all so will be back and also visit the Gladstone Pottery Museum where, amongst other wondrous sights, we’ll see the winning exhibits of the current TV series of ‘The Great Pottery Throwdown’.
