The Blue River

Aptly named, don't you think?  16 walkers went out today.  It took an hour to drive to the start of the track just north of Makarora, then we crossed a total of 4 bridges, 3 of them were swing bridges.  Had our lunch by the Makarora River, then it was back to the cars, a nice cuppa at a nearby cafe, and the long drive home.  It was a great walk through native bush and open grass lands.
