Back to school

The butterflies were showing for Ottawacker Jr. as he made his way back to school today. He's not normally one to get nervous about things (I do that for him) so it must have been playing on his mind quite a lot. His school hadn't been closed by the Omicronvoy (or the Flu Trucks Klan), so in he went at 8.45.

All went well. But having spent a month homeschooling, the same could not be said for me. I wandered from room to room, picking things up and putting them down again... However, when I picked him up at 3.30, all was well and a good day had been had.

He was less impressed by the new household bylaw relating to XBox, through which 30 minutes of French reading has to be done before the console is fired up. But that too went well. Eventually.

Still no sign of getting our downtown back; the absence of leadership in the city and province has been woeful.
