Monday: Hot And Sour Pork Noodles

I had a day off today.  We had to be out quite early as Barney was having a small operation at the vet’s.  He had a cyst on his back leg which has needed draining a few times so it was easier to have it removed, particularly as we didn’t want it to cause him any difficulties in the future.  He’s done very well and is trotting around quite merrily.  He’s also had his teeth cleaned and his bum fluff trimmed.

We did have a bit of drama when we got him home as the bandage on his leg rendered him completely incapable of standing, let alone walking.  He just kept flopping on the floor, howling, so we called the vet who told us to bring him back so she could remove the bandage.  He was much happier after that.  

It was a lovely day so we went to Chinatown and went to ‘Fat Mao’ for lunch.  K. says their ma po tofu is the best in the world.  That’s quite the claim!
