Sleeping beauty
It's always a thrill to see the yellow-crowned night heron when we visit Ding Darling refuge. They aren't easy to spot in mid-day, but this one was close to the road and sound asleep! He never opened his little eye while I took several pics.
We saw the white pelicans congregating with the other shore birds, and the little blue heron was catching his lunch. Probably one of the tree crabs we saw on the mangroves. The tiny crab is my excuse for tagging this tiny Tuesday.
Another lovely day in paradise with a beautiful if chilly start, and warming up to heavenly!! We even ate our lunch by the Gulf at a sunny picnic table at the Mucky Duck on Captiva.
I think ice cream may be our dinner!!
