The plough......
A dry start so once everything was fed managed to bring in my spring calving cows and give them a worm / fluke dose and their annual BVD vaccine. Only problem I had was the field behind the steading had a bite of grass in it so I couldn't get the old buggers to move back to their own field. Ended up leaving them until I feed them tomorrow. Really missing my stolen quad bike and my old collie dog. She would have sorted them .
Sent Kev away up the hill with 3 tons of the sheep feed that came yesterday. While he was away I had to strip more tyres off the silage pit and roll back the plastic sheet ready for tomorrow morning .
The squad of Irishmen arrived to start ploughing in the conduit for BT . I spent about 10 minutes explaining to one lad where all the water pipes, drains ,electric cables etc were on their route . He then turned round and said " You'll need to speak to the gaffer ,I only drive the lorry.. "
Could he not have told me that 10 minutes ago ?
Any way they didn't get much done as their machine developed a diesel problem and they have another one coming in the morning.
The joys
