We had an hour or so out on our boat this afternoon, calling in on Humphries Bay...that beautiful colour inspired our choice of an emerald for my engagement ring all those years ago. 
A while later we reached Te Rata Bay, otherwise known as Hot Water Beach . A popular spot only accessible by tramping the track or by boat. A relaxing spot to soak in natural hot thermal water and also available as a camp site through the Department of Conservation.
