Frustrated Chaffinch

So much for Spring! Freezing here again today with a strong easterly wind to go with it!

I watched this Chaffinch this morning hopping around the garden trying to get the sunflower seeds that had blown from the feeder.

Every time he was just about to pick a seed up, it blew away across the path. His patience paid off eventually!
