Life Is A Beech

The job the I have been dreading. Stripping the banister gloss down to the bare wood. Annoying when there are water base gloss layers that refuse to melt away under the heat gun (it tends to burn instead). But, it was nice to find a healthy strip of beech beneath the many layers. Rubbing down was out of the question as the previous owner applied brushstrokes it the most random of fashion. And being waterbased gloss, the brush strokes are much more obvious (and crappy looking).
