Candlemas

The fortieth, and last, day of Christmas - one of my favourite feast days. The Wikipedia Entry has lots of lovely detail of different countries’ traditions for this day, from pancake-making to bonfires, dance and processions.

My candles are also lit today for my dearest university friend, who very sadly died recently. RIP David (5-6-1954 to 26-1-2022)
