Who Wants to be a Millionaire

I do!
Finally got around to a job I’ve been meaning to do for twenty odd years, since we last moved house. This PSB was bought for me when I was born. Allowing for inflation, it would have cost £25 in todays money - the current minimum investment in Premium Bonds - so not a bad gift. But I think the chances of me winning the top prize with a single bond are about 46 Billion to 1, so at least once a year since last being in contact to advise the change of address, I’ve pondered over whether I should just cash it in (to tidy things up) or buy some more to improve those odds. Given that all savings rates are low at the moment, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to invest a few more pounds - I just needed to find out how, as I was fairly certain you didn’t just go down to the Post Office and buy them over the counter, like my parents did all those years ago!
Spoke to a very helpful lady at NS&I, who was able to link my solitary bond to my other National Savings accounts. Five minutes online today and I’d done a transfer to increase my holding to a more respectable level.
I just need to sit back now and wait for those big prizes to come rolling in.
