Wide Wednesday - Nature

Bestie Gill has come to stay for a couple of nights and when we were walking into the village this afternoon, Gill and I were surprised to notice several lambs and ewes in one of the fields.

Surprised because it's early to be seeing lambs, surprised how big they are and surprised at the breed, which we had to google when we got home.

Apparently they are Zwartbles  - quite distinctive with a white blaze on the head, white socks and white tail on chocolate brown. Never heard of them before!
