A Ware Wedding

A case for Sherlock Holmes perhaps?!

What better way to spend a beautiful & sunny Spring day (finally!) than by venturing to Ware, Hertfordshire, for a family wedding.

Ma, Ri, Jenny & myself, all looking rather dashing & dapper in our finery, were warmly welcomed at the stunning & historic hotel that laid host to Helen & David's (Holmes, now you get it!?.. I hope) special day. Meeting them for the first time, they are kind people & make for a lovely couple.

As it turned out, we were some of only a few that were from David's side of the family, & so our presence was rather more significant than we had at first considered, & made our first & second row seating at the marriage ceremony less surprising. Also from David's family present were his mother, & Mum's cousin on her mother/ my grandmother's side, Tisha, Mary, another cousing Mary, who is as Irish as they come, & our fantastic American cousin Colin, & his wife & daughter, Betsy & Jennifer - all lovely & great company!

It was fab to spend the day with them, getting to know those we'd never met before & catching up with those that we hadn't seen in a while.

With the amazing sunset, came the Reception - some tasty nibbles & snacks were laid on & more than enough dodgy dancing was on show too. There was even enough time for a small fracas, but let's not dwell on that for too long.

It was a great day & a pleasure to have been invited for such a special ocassion.
