Dokkum

Today we had to go to Dokkum, a visit to a specialized Eye hospital, to have a tiny piece of plastic removed out of mrs. P's eye. 
Dokkum is one of the eleven cities in Friesland and a stop in the famous ice skating tournament: the "Elfstedentocht".
Here is an impression of 1985, but the one in 1963 was the most impressive one, under horrible conditions.
