Tree planting season

Our garden backs onto a SSSI woodland of mostly oak and hornbeam. My husband is one of a team of volunteer wood wardens who help to manage the woods (and play with chain saws).
This time of year is busy with tree planting and I'm now quite used to pallets of trees, canes and tree guards suddenly arriving at our house. Today's whips are hornbeam, hawthorn, hazel and wild cherry.
