Gold and red
Completely wrong fruit for CNY but definitely red and gold, which are very auspicious colours for Chinese New Year.
I had prepared these fruit for our Bible study start up today. Some of us have decided to meet in smaller groups just for a few weeks, while we’re in the peak of the Omicron wave.
It was so good to fellowship and study again, after the big summer break.
The ladies loved the CNY decorations and one of them actually greeted me in the traditional Chinese greeting. I was impressed.
In the afternoon I picked Martin up to take him to a cardiologist appointment. He’s had some tests done following on from Tom’s recent heart issues, as this is a hereditary problem. Martin does have evidence of calcification, but is currently asymptomatic! Because he eats well and exercises, he’s doing well. So we’ll check again in 6-12 months to make sure it all stays the same. He’s been given meds to help the cause!
I then picked up Jon only to find out that a lady who was training him on Monday, tested positive! Aaaghhh … made him sit in the back seat and sent him to isolate in the study as soon as we got home!
There are no RATs around to buy so we can’t even test ourselves. His office does have them though, so he must get one tomorrow.
We’ve had a terrific storm today. The most treacherous conditions I’ve ever driven in and was glad to make it home safely. More storms expected tomorrow.
