Rainy Day with Mom

It was gray and rainy and cold today....a typical winter day in Portland. I spent the day with mom - she slept most of the time, although finally did wake up for a late lunch. Then I went to my new chiropractor....amazing!
Home again, caught up with email and about to go get dinner ready! 

This is a Nandina that's outside my mom's house. I thought it looked interesting with the shiny, colorful leaves. This is an interesting plant, if you don't know it.  There are many cultivars, and planted in the right place it can really be stunning, especially this time of year when it shows off its brilliant red berries.
