Further Round The Bend,

I have to make an effort and gain access to the field strip which runs to the East of ”The Policies". My normal access route is not open to me and just climbing over the wall is not a good idea. I might be dropping into something "nasty".

However this is the access route. I can climb over the access gate to the field and make my way up the margin.

The wood in the thumbnail has no name. I will call it Heartwood.

Why do I need access? A branch from one of our Oak trees was blown away and I should remove it.

Michael Portillo has a new series of his Railway journeys and the first ten episodes are round the Scottish Coast. His route is of interest and quite unusual as it finishes in Orkney which has no rail service.
