Electricity pole

Like a lot of rural areas our electricity supply is overhead with poles criss-crossing fields and seemingly going in all directions. Yet it seems to work and it's extremely rare for us to have power cuts.

Reasonably busy day today including replacing the mixer shower in the en-suite. I took it apart as best I could and cleared it of scale but it still didn't work afterwards and the water was coming out remained cold.

Disconnected it again and headed to the plumbers merchants who informed me that it was obsolete. Nothing else to do but buy a replacement. Apparently the connections are a standard 150mm apart so the new one went in easily although slight alterations to the riser were needed. 'Job's a good 'un'.

A few other bits and pieces done as well so quite satisfied with things. Also the coal has been delivered and more logs arriving Sunday morning. Finally, I received a courtesy call from Warwick Hospital about next week yo see if I had any queries or concerns. How nice!
